If it is too easy, then PCB design won’t be a valuable skill, right?
Seriously, there are several challenges.
First, PCB design tools are usually not very intuitive. Nor do they conform to common GUI standards. This is because PCB design tools have many special operations that are absent from a typical GUI program. More importantly, it is because PCB design tools are designed by engineers (geeks) for engineers. This is both a good and bad thing.
Second, routing a PCB requires good spatial problem solving skills. We’ll get to this part in another module.
