Since most surface mount capacitors (0805, 1206, 1210, etc.) do not have values printed on them, it is difficult to distinguish a value from another. You can consider using different sizes for different values, such as 0805 for 0.1uF, 1206 for 0.22uF, 1210 for 1uF and etc. This way, it is almost impossible to use the wrong value.
