Each member needs to indicate their availability for the project in all three quarters. This makes it easier to allocate resources to different tasks. As a general rule, don't get involved in a Micromouse project unless you are available to work on the project in all three quarters.
Although the Micromouse courses only add up to 5 units, the work involved is a bit more than that. Treat 194A as a 3-unit class, 194B as a 4-unit class, and 194C as a 2-unit class when it comes to resource allocation. This means that if you have 15 units of other classes, it'd be a tight fit to include 194A or 194B.
