With a live CD/DVD, the entire processor is dedicated to the OS loaded
from the CD/DVD. This means it runs as fast as it can. However, live CD/DVD
distributions tend to run ``slower''. This is mainly because it needs to
read files from a CD/DVD, which is very slow compared to a hard disk.
