6 Shutting down

Don't just turn the machine off, or close the QEMU window. To properly shut down Linux, log in as root. Then, use the command poweroff to shut down the system. If your system is very old, and does not support ACPI or APM, then the system will ``halt'', and a message confirms that. You can then safely turn off the computer, or close the emulator window.
