As a college student in the Los Rios Community College District, Richie is pursuing an Associate of Science degree in Web Development. Richie has completed all general education classes except for a math course, which he is finishing this semester. These courses have equipped Richie with many essential skills, in areas such as public speaking, effective writing, critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate with others.
In Richie's web development class (CISW 300), he has learned to structure a web page's content using HTML5 and to style it using CSS3. Richie has worked on several engaging projects, including websites for Curbside Thai restaurant and food truck, Tri and Succeed Sports training center, and most recently, Pandaisia Chocolates. Each project ultimately provided a way for Richie to apply theoretical principles to practical, hands-on, projects.
While Richie is thankful for all of the knowledge that he has learned thus far during this semester, his desire to learn only intensifies with each new concept he encounters, fueling an insatiable craving to deepen his understanding of web development.
