A classic Italian dessert made with espresso soaked ladyfingers, creamy mascarpone, and a dusting of rich cocoa powder. Its balance of bold coffee flavor and delicate sweetness makes it a favorite for any occasion.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pour whipping cream into a mixing bowl and beat on medium speed with an electric or stand mixer.
  2. Slowly add sugar and vanilla and continue to beat until stiff peaks.
  3. Add mascarpone cheese and fold in until combined. Set aside.
  4. Add coffee to a shallow bowl and dip the lady fingers in the coffee.
  5. Lay them in a single layer on the bottom of an 8x8 or similar sized pan.
  6. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  7. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone.
  8. Dust the top generously with cocoa powder.
  9. Refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours.
