A homemade fruitcake baked in a loaf pan. Great for afternoon tea or holiday gifting (8-10 servings).

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300° F (150° C).
  2. Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt and set aside.
  3. Mix together butter, sugar, vanilla, and eggs.
  4. Add dry ingredients to the mixture.
  5. Add the slivered nuts, raisins, and candied fruits and mix well.
  6. Pour batter into a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 60-75 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool before removing from pan.
  9. Slice fruit cake and serve.
